Festival Details: Light Up the Hills is a family-friendly outdoor festival of light presented by the West Shore Arts Council and Westhills, to be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Leading up to the event, locals are encouraged to create their own lanterns to be carried through the Westhills area in Langford. Three lantern-making workshops will be offered, including one intermediate to advanced level which will provide instruction to a group of up to 15 participants. On the evening of the event, participants will walk along a designated path, passing by various performances and artworks, using the hand-made lanterns to guide their way. This community-focused event aims to showcase the creativity of local artists, musicians, and performers.
